Kharg Petrochemical Complex is located on Kharg Island. This island with a coral texture like a stone bowl has emerged from the northwest of the Persian Gulf. Kharg Island is located about 57 kilometers northwest of Bushehr and is considered one of the functions of this province in terms of country divisions. The geographical location of this island is at 29 degrees and 15 minutes of north latitude and 50 degrees and 29 minutes of east latitude. Its average height is about 3 meters above the sea level and it has a humid climate with strong winds. Among the climatic attractions of Kharg Island, we can mention the works of Sassanid crypts, the tomb of Mir Muhammad Hanafi, which is seven hundred years old, beautiful and magnificent sandy beaches and rocks, as well as herds of free-ranging camels, lill trees and Indian crows. Kharg Island is considered a suitable place for the export of oil and petrochemical products due to its location and suitable depth of the sea, and for this reason, it is of great importance.
