The construction of the ethylene transmission pipeline in the west of the country was approved by the government on 05/02/2013. and the implementation of the ethylene pipeline was entrusted to the Petrochemical Industries Development Management Company. With the start of the implementation of the ethylene pipeline and in order to develop and build petrochemical industries within the framework of the country’s economic development program, Bakhtar Petrochemical Company was established as a holding company on 11/1383 17 was registered. In order to establish petrochemical production industries in the less developed and deprived areas of the southern regions of the country, the government board approved the construction of four new units in the southern regions of the country on 04/06/2013. The lines were called Dena.

The Dena line consists of an olefin gypsum unit and four polyethylene (HDPE) production units under the names of Dehdasht Petrochemical Industries Company, Mamsani, Kazeron and Borujen. During the provincial visit of the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Mr. Eng. Bahoner, to the province of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad on 20/01/2016, the construction of a heavy polyethylene production unit with a capacity of 300,000 tons per year was laid in Dehdasht city and immediately on 01/01/2016  Dehdasht Petrochemical Company was established and registered as a special stock. On 19/10/2016, the name of the company was changed to Dehdasht Polymer. Then on 11/03/2018, Dehdasht Petrochemical Industries Company was established as a joint stock company. 100% shares of Dehdasht Polymer Company were transferred to this company.

This company is implementing the construction of a heavy polyethylene production unit in the city of Stan Dehdasht, the purpose of its implementation in the first stage is to produce heavy polyethylene raw materials to meet the needs of domestic markets and feed downstream industries, and in the next stage to export the product to global markets. With the studies carried out by the consultant to find the location and after choosing the right place, the plot of land with an area of ​​102 hectares was purchased in the Kalacho desert area, which was immediately followed by the consolidation of the land and an official document was issued for the construction of the factory.
